... if you take the Led Zep Remasters double CD from the 90s as a - poor - example, the 1st CD is pure gold, whilst the 2nd CD has 10 songs that no matter how much i listen to them, only Kashmir and All My Love stand out.... the rest could mostly have done with 2 to 3 mins lopped off each.
Perusing my iPod top 100, recent entries in 2007 are Arcade Fire (1st album better than 2nd) and Bruce Springsteen's Seeger Session CD. A lot of the Led Zep stuff is overrated and is only then held together by a musically tight Bonham and even he is let down by the weakish drum solo at the end of Rock and Roll (for example and my opinion) Bring back the Stone Roses, that what I say. -------------------------------------------------- From: "sinister dexter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2007 2:01 PM To: "Richard Naef" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "Leeds List" <[email protected]>; "Steve Gillen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [LU] Good music > Rich, know any good walls we can lean back on??
