The match reports from others pretty much sum the game up, Our best passing
game of the season but against the poorest and most unambitious side we have
met.
If Kilkenny can play like this every week he will become a legend here, he
was everywhere wanting the ball and using it wisely. Hughes was a sensation
alongiside him in his proper position doing all the ugly work. Parker and
especailly Huntington on the ball looked much better than Hughes or Heath but
were not really tested and will need to show this sort of thing every week. Up
front Beckford was absolutley outstanding - I hope no-one with money from one
of the higher Divisons was watching. His touch, work rate , vision everything
was great and it was unbelievable that he did not score today.
Shame Sorsa was not on the bench to be given a short run out but Weston came
on in the dying minutes and his goal will have helped him. Likewise Frazers
confidence will be lifted (in fact second half you could see that it already
has been) by his superb run and strike.
Finally team wise- farewell to Rui , you will be sorely missed, and I liked
his bow at the end to the fans, hope your team gets knocked out asap and you
return fit and well.
"Stand up and sing for Leeds" goes the song, or at least it used to - I have
been given a warning that if I sing it I will be ejected !! Had a discussion
with the woman steward, the one with pony tail and leather gloves, arguing that
since it was not racist, abusive, offensive or swearing I was entitled to sing
it with impunity, but she said it was no longer allowed to sing it and they
were under instruction to eject those who sang it and I was being given an
official warning !! So those of you who joined in the ridiculous Mexican wave
watch out that will soon be on the proscribed list.

Still even she could not spoil a great day for me, one of the best
performances of the season and was very much needed.
Roll on Crewe and lets hope we can get our first win there !!
Not sure why he has signed Sweeney as well as Sorsa , since it appears we
still want both Johnson and Morgan - we will have a glut of midfielders soon
and still no left back !!
