Dave, Don't know if you listened to the interview on Radio Leeds after the match, but Wise was very candid about the discussion with Johnson and his agent and it appeared that Wise was more than a little pissed off with the proceedings, reading between the lines it looks as if the Agent wants a bigger slice of the kitty and / or a higher wage.
Also mentioned was Damian Delaney the centre half from Hull, it appears that Dave Basset has been making enquiries about him, Radio Leeds interviewed the Hull manager who more or less said "Tell Dennis to give me a ring to discuss taking it to the next level" and there didn't appear to be a hint of "he's not for sale" in the message and given that the lad is not currently in the first team but has the all important Championship experience might make him a good buy. Nice touch by Wise in making a bid for Johnson on the eve of the match, it might be a good tactic to put in a bid for players from Crewe.
