I generally don't wish ill on anybody (Except Gary Neville of course!) and
have some sympathy for Blackwell. Anyway, Crewe ... I don't think we need
any instant judgements on the strength of one game Phil (And Rich W).
Let's put it in perspective:
1). 5 of the players involved on Monday were either making their debuts or
second 1st team league starts of the season for us. A team doesn't just
click, it needs time.
2). It was VERY windy. Ask any footballer whats their one pet hate when it
comes to weather and I bet most of them say the wind. I hate it! I'll
happily play in snow, rain, sleet, anything but a gale!
3). We had a blatant penalty (What exactly ARE linesmen for these days???
The ref's view was obscured, but the linesman MUST have had a clear view
he was up at that end, on the right side to see the offense!) turned down
which would have (hopefully) made it 2-0, game over. Yes they hit the bar,
so did we, yes Angerken made 2 great saves, their guy made a couple of
decent ones himself.

We started very promisingly and did try and knock it around, Rich W's knee
jerk dismissal of Sweeney is a bit OTT, if he's a 'luxury player' who can
get crosses of the quality he put in on Monday then whats the issue? We've
been crying out for a decent crosser of the ball for ages, probably since
Zico infact! ;-)
The only other thing I noticed was that Kenton looks about 5' 9" !!! He's
tiny for a CH!
