I first started going to games on my own in the early
80's so the 80's were the real excitment for me. I'd
been to Wembley with my dad twice in the 70's but the
happy and sad memories of those days never registered
on me like the pain of the 80's.
There are 2 moments for me.
1) Relegation at WBA - just tragic.
2) Losing the play off finals against Charlton in the
replay at St Andrews, being 1-0 up with 5 mins to
play. I didn't speak to anyone for about a week. This
was the worse moment of my Leeds Utd watching career.
Every season we were announced as favourites to return
to the 1st division, every year we disappointed.
