"the decision protects the credibility of the football league..."

And in other news why Gordon Brown had a really good day yesterday...

Jenkins welcomes Leeds decision

Swansea's board took over the club in 2002

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has backed a panel's decision to uphold
Leeds United's 15-point deduction by the Football League.

The decision by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators means Swansea are
now crowned champions of League One.

Jenkins told BBC Wales: "It has dragged on a bit.

"But the important issues were protecting the interests of everybody
else... and the credibility of the Football League."

Swansea now look set to be presented with the League One trophy after
Saturday's final match of the season away at Brighton.

The club has already marked its promotion to the Championship with an
open top bus parade around the city.

"We have celebrated a bit," said Jenkins.

"It's great for the fans as well as recognition of all the hard work
that's gone in since we took charge.

"To get to that point (promotion to the second tier of English
football), we've achieved what we set out to do.

"Since Roberto Martinez has taken charge, he has nearly averaged two
points a game so I think that speaks highly of what he has achieved as a
manager and we are delighted to be in this position and we look forward
to next season."
