- they had bags more pace going forward than we could handle - see their penalty, the guy didn't really "beat" 3 or 4 of our defenders, he just ran past them - speaking of the penalty, Hughes was last man, deliberately prevented a goal-scoring opportunity, why no red card?
I'd suggest that the guy hadn't yet got into position where he had a "clear goal-scoring opportunity" hence no sending off. I'm surprised Hughes wasn't booked though. I think if he'd let the guy alone he'd have got so excited after his dramatic run he'd have blazed the ball anywhere but in the net! Talking of bookings, Showumni was very lucky to escape one when he cabbaged their guy for no good reason.
