What *is* the way to deal with the problem? Can/Should UEFA/FIFA direct nations to act? Should they offer punishments/incentives to national FAs to follow directives (e.g. like to Poland recently regarding politics). Should they offer guidelines or targets? Should they be pro or reactive? Spain for example as a nation doesn't appear to recognise it as a problem, so, what hope for them to get their house in order without outside interference. Most of us would probably agree that Turkey should be made to realise that their behaviour (not racism) is unacceptable, Would we agree that its reached the point that maybe 'normal fans' might have to suffer in order that the message is finally heard and learned? (I guess many folk say the same kind of thing about leeds!) Me, I haven't a clue. I don't think points is right at all. But I don't know what is. nif 2008/10/10 Richard Walker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> but it won't work taking points of countries because a few hundred idiots are shouting racist chants. Only people that will suffer are the normal fans who want to see their team play in the World Cup finals. The direction has to come from within the clubs and country as we have seen in England. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
