Sorry to bore the non politicos on the list but i'm totally hooked on the US Election this time and might even get up in the middle of the night to see the live coverage on the day itself.
McCain's time was 8 years ago, but what has happened to him in this campaign is pitiful - you don't laugh at him but feel like your watching a David Brent/Alan Partridge moment of uncomfortableness at all times with the banalities he comes out with. When he chose Palin I asked some yanks was there ever a case where a VP candidate pulled out of the campaign in disbelief [there was] such was my surprise. Then to see that she actually went down well at the start was mindboggling Thankfully those with a brain have seen through the "feistiness" and now see her for a complete muppet. The polls in most of the key states might show a healthy lead for Obama but you have to be wary of an electorate that voted twice for Dubya, aka Roscoe P. Coltrane. I really felt sorry for him when Bush murdered him in 2000 and up until about 2 months ago thought he would make a good prez, until I saw the Manchurian Candidate.
