I assume that the fact that the list has been dead all week
means that this is one of the matches that no-one can be
bothered with ?
Even though they have come down a Division, for me they are
one of the teams that we now play who really drive home the
fact that we are in the 3rd Division and not the Prem.
Perhaps it is fitting that they are our first visitors to
ER since the so called "giant killing" we suffered
at Histon since our Colchester defeat (along with
Sunderland) are always quoted as one of the great giant
killing games of all time.
Christie and Delph are back in the squad but as we all know
until the defence is sorted it does not really matter who
plays elsewhere. Just hope Matt Heath does not show us how
to defend with grit and determination and then cap it with
showing how to be dangerous at the other end - it does feel
that he will score from a header following a corner \
free kick.
Alan Maybury who last played for us in Europe - as I am
sure the commentators will mention - is also in their squad
now.
Any match report I can be bothered doing will not be till
Monday probably since I have a trip to Blackpool Tower on
Sunday.
