Usual guff from a new bloke - cliche city really with talk of "whirlwind move" "massive club" "great opportunity" "would only have stepped down a Divison to come to Leeds" "going to work hard" "aim to get out of this Divison" All the stuff you would expect. Says he likes to get the ball down and play entertaining football but that is not always possible and it is winning that is all that counts ! Is aware of the squad -was with Douglas at Blackburn and knows others from playing \ managing against them - does not know youngsters but is aware that some gems amongst them. Will speak to staff and watch DVDs over next few days - hopes to bring in an assistant within 24hours and hopefully a first team coach asap . Wants players to express themselves and play with a smile but above all give 100% (at least he never said 100+% like some of the others - "got to give 200% etc") If needs be he will buy in one or two players but will give all current players a chance Wait and see if money to spend Is a good squad. Knows what is needed to get out of this Divison - won last 10 games of season with Blackpool and then up via playoffs. Nothing exciting or different really but I suppose it is hard to say anything new or interesting. Lets just hope he is what we need Roll on Friday Dave _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
