As the lad who has stood next to us for years has just had a 3 year ban imposed for swearing at a copper at Tranmere this year I'm surprised the figure isn't even higher! I don't know the full details of exactly what happened but in the ten years or so Rick has been standing next to us he's always been the most mild mannered of men. The only time I've ever seen him do anything that could be construed as being milldly agressive has been an occasional rant at Beckford after Beckford had tried one of his silly Brazilian-type flicks and caused an attack to break down. This has usually been followed by Beckford scoring a brilliant goal, causing Rick much embarrassment and us much amusement. We're are going to miss him a lot. I would like to know what the copper did to provoke him and exactly what Rick said to cause the sensitive flower from the Merseyside police to be offended enough to arrest him.

I'd like to know the figures for Leeds fans having their season tickets
taken off them for persistant standing - or do the stewards just "bollock"
them?

I can only speak for our part of the Kop but we stand about five rows from the back and on a level with the left hand goalpost as you look at the pitch and the stewards seem to have given up on bothering us about standing from the middle of last season onwards. They occasionally have a go if people drift into the aisles and make us keep them clear, which is probably fair enough, but haven't tried to make us sit down at all. I have only been to a few away matches but the away stewards at any of those games have never tried to make us sit down, not even at Huddersfield where they made a great fuss before the game about them losing their licence if us bastards didn't behave.
