The dangers of replying before reading the rest of the digest - I think KLKOT
said it better than I attempted.

The home team has already had 90 mins to score an away goal.

The advantage of the away team having an 'extra' 30 mins to score an away goal
is negated by them being, by definition, away. The home team have the benefit
of being at home and all that entails.

Saying that, I agree with whoever it was (probably KLKOT) who said it is
'better/fairer' for them only to come into play after ET.

As with most changes brought in to make play more attacking (back pass, golden
goal, silver goal, away goals, offside law changes, 3points for a win, penalty
shoot outs, Man Utd's Faustian pact etc. etc.) negative teams find a way past
them and they become anacronistic.

Pretty difficult for the home team to score an away goal while they're playing
at home though isn't it?
(Think about it!!)

That doesn't make any sense, the home team also has 30 mins longer, at home, to
score a goal.
