Or........ You could visit a grave yard, in the town or city of our nearest rivals and look for a grave of someone who was born around the same year as you, then apply for a birth certificate in their name, once you have the birth certificate, apply for a passport in their name, these 2 documents should enable you to open bank account in said name and from there you can then apply for a credit card, u can then use the card to buy tickets for the game against Leeds, then when we get promoted you can sell all the documents to a Scunthorpe fan... Simples

You could do what I've done for some of the clubs near to where I live (Crewe).

You pick a game when the club is playing one of our promotion rivals, so the game still has some relevance to Leeds. Then you're on their customer database, should you need to get tickets for a Leeds game.

Though as MK are promotion rivals themselves, you could go to any game and silently 'support' their opposition on the day.

Problem is then I'd have to actually buy a ticket to MK Dons when the Gods AREN'T playing. Why on earth would anyone want to do that! :-)

You'll have to get yourself onto their customer database, then they won't check.

I'm on the customer database of eight different clubs, supposedly as a 'home supporter'. Can anyone beat that?

Suddenly coming free this weekend, thought I'd treat myself to day at Milton Keynes a scant 3/4 of an hour or so up the road - only my second sighting of the Gods this season.

No probs buying a ticket - still a fair few available. Set up nicely for Saturday.

Imagine my shock when the email below arrives (and just as well I checked email before tomorrow else I'd have had an abortive trip) ...

Dear Mr Longbottom

Thank you for your order. Unfortunately due to strict
segregation policies that we have in place here at stadiummk I have had to cancel your order for the following
reasons.

Any order that we have received from anyone who is
not registered on our ticketing database has been checked with Leeds united to ensure that we have no away supporters in the home end of the ground. When we supplied your details to them they have
confirmed that you were registered with them.

I do apologise for any inconvenience this may have
caused but I hope you understand the reason behind my decision.

Should you wish to discuss this please feel free to
contact me on the number below. Your card has been refunded today for you.

Kind regards

Call ticket office and have long and ultimately fruitless discussion but they refuse to sell me a ticket. Not because I'm a Leeds supporter (obviously I am - but they don't know that), but because they suspect I am. Not because I'm a member of the club, or an away season ticket holder etc., but because I'm "registered" at Elland Road i.e. I've bought a ticket at Elland Road using a card and/or my home address before.

Note - they also tell me this just 45 minutes before the ticket office closes so I've had to madly ring round mates who would lend me a credit card for a day etc. and have never bought a ticket at Leeds and track one down before they put up the shutters, and now have the time-wasting task to drive over and borrow his card so I can pick up the ticket using the same card as bought it.

I can't believe how criminalised I feel just for trying to buy a ticket to a footy game. Presumably there is now no place for a supporter who goes to occasional games anymore. We are all either away thugs, or ardent home fans who have a track record of buying regular tickets.

Sure hope we wallop them this week

Graham/glongbot
