Stuck in this rehab clinic in the Alps (which might turn out to be a good thing since so-called Al Quaida have apparently threatened to attack the Oktoberfest!), my one consolation has been the availablity of Sky Sports in my room. This has given me the opportunity to catch up on the PL for the first time since I left TV-footie heaven (aka Bangkok) in June.
So here are a few random musings, some slightly Leeds-related: 1. How stupid are all those Man City people? Don't they realise that the word ETTIHAD which is emblazoned all over their stadium and their shirts, is Arabic for UNITED ? 2. Sunderland v Wolves.............what a pair of crap teams! I can't believe Sunderland are 8th (ie what about 32 places above us in the pyramid.) Watching that, and seeing the empty seats at Wigan v Chelsea, reinforced what I was reading about comments from Lash after the Liverpool game that the PL needs Leeds United. How true is that? And they aren't even the worst teams in the league either............Hull & Burnley are worse. I think Portsmouth actually migt survive, only bc there is so much crap elsewhere. 3. Richardson's backpass...................anybody see that, which led to Wolves' 2nd goal? What a laff..............but why wasn't the keeper sent off for deliberately preventing a goal by foul play? 4.
