I just resent the amount of taxpayers money that goes on the civil
list, bearing in mind stuff like the Queens flight comes out of the
MoD budget. I'm sure they're wealthy enough to support themselves
which is what they should be doing.

Monarchies but trying to be objective....
I simply cannot see how in the 21st century there is a place for ANY
Royal Family, even symbolically. The fact that people hold in high
esteem a bunch of inter-related families European families, pay them
a fortune every year, numerous castles, 1000s of acres of prime land
which belongs to the country itself (and then they get miffed at
paying taxes). Sheer lunacy.
In saying all of the above, I've always thought Prince Charles was a
likeable enough chap......
