True, mirrors what I said to RW yesterday r.e. his match report. I'm
worried Higgs is a long term injury and slowly but surely teams are
latching on to the fact that, despite the vast improvement from a
managerial angle from last season, there remains 3 defensive weaknesses in
the current state of play.
If we get promoted, I think someone like Gareth Bale is the type of player
we should be targetting. I think he's a permanent bench warmer at Spurs (3
appearances this season) and if we're going to look upwards, would be the
type of player we SHOULD be looking at. I know realistically it's as
likely as me playing for England in The World Cup, but the sort of player
we should be looking at.
BTW, I played at the weekend against Clyde Wynjard! Lovely guy, we lost
4-2 and he bagged 2 but he still didn't score the best goal of the game
;-)
