Well I had a red mist moment yesterday and, Yes, I had a rant. But any 'newbies' or lurkers will know I generally try to take a bigger picture view on it all. But last night, something just tweaked a nerve. It started in the first half, we were completely dominating a team that were showing themselves to be non league and yet ... we only went in 1-0 up. Wasted chances, some of which were pretty piss poor if we're all honest but especially crap crossing probably got me reaching for the sharpened sticks. Then one simple change from the very respected John Deehan (Who I am lead to believe was actually sacked whilst the game was ongoing, which if true, is a disgrace!!!!) and we suddenly lost it. I guess the underlaying theme of sed rant was exactly 'looking forward'.
> The last twenty minutes of the game were like watching a team with a large load taken off their shoulders, the goals just made me grin from ear to ear. > > We are a team in a lower division but we played football which made some of the fare on show on match of the day last weekend look like the shite it is. > > The Scotlandisation of football in England by the so called Big Four is what is killing the game, yet at the same time making life in the lower leagues so much more enjoyable. > > Bates apart there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a Leeds fan and there never has been. Our problem is that we have been spoilt with some of the best football in the game's history only marred by siome of the worst ownership of any organisation bar none. > > I'll start to worry when results coming in at the final whistle from all over the UK no longer mean anything, meanwhile shout it out loud! > > Betty > > PS Was anyone else thoroughly pissed off by the crap commentary on ITV4 last night? Football's talking heads really are the most boring people in the known universe. I'd have much preferred Da Rev and DRB doing the honours, perhaps with HT spots from Rich W and Dave N and a cameo appearance from Eddie gray in Panto costume (he is in Puss In Boots at the City Verts isn't he?) > > _______________________________________________ > the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators > accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
