It is an absolutely outrageous scandal that Northern Rock have signed a new deal to sponsor those sad stripy twats from Newcastle.
All last year, as I religiously watched every one of their games to enjoy their pathetic stumble into relegation, I grumbled and moaned to anyone who would listen (ie my dogs) about the fact that N Rock were written on their shirts while my money was keeping N Rock afloat. But in more balanced moments, I had to admit (to my dogs) that they probably had an ongoing contract which they had to honour. But now they have signed up to a new contract, passing 10 million of OUR quid over to them so they can unsettle some more of our best players. A totally sc. o. And no one else seems to be even batting an eyelid, except for the good old Guardian of course.
