I know there are instructions out on the net that show how to de-regionalize (if that is a word) dvd players. I did it to my US dvd player to watch a UK dvd and it worked perfectly. It was just a matter of pressing a few buttons on my dvd remote control if I remember correctly. I do not know (remember) where those instructions are and probably depends on the make of dvd but just google it.
