Well the US copy will be in NTSC format and the UK uses PAL-I so your UK
mate will need an NTSC capable DVD player - this is not a zone question but
a TV format question really as far as I can figure. Not sure if a standard
DVD will play it as long as the TV is NTSC capable or not

Hmmm will have to think on this one.......

Subject: [LU] Non LUFC: A wee question

Is there anyone who can help with things DVD?

A friend in the US copied the FA Cup Third Round game between Sunderland and
Barrow, it was shown on satellite in most places around the world, and sent
it over the a mate in the UK (I live in NZ), when he tried to copy the disc,
for personal reasons of course, he couldnt even play the disc on his DVD or
PC, as it was in US format. I thought a multi-zone DVD player would be able
to handle this, but apparently not.

Is there anyone out there who can advise how to get round this, please?

Yours perplexedly

Ralph
