I think its human nature that you remember the teams who seem to be better than
you'd have any right to expect but not the ones who were appalling when we
played them. As an example we played Tranmere when Barnes was manager and they
were awful and played Bristol Rovers after they'd started to slip away from a
good start.

I think Tim's point about the Cup Run reminding people who we are is probably
more valid. I bet Wycombe havent played as well for years.

It is a cliche that in a league programme everybody plays everybody else home

totally ignores one huge luck factor which is that form and various other
issues fluctuate during a season, and there is a huge element of luck in
whether you get to play teams when they are on a downswing or on an upsurge.

Eg those jammy gits Newcastle...............got to play Palace the day after
they were deducted 10 pts, plus when the administrator said their best player
couldn't play.

I fear we are suffering a bit in this area at the mo..................the
Swindon game would not have been such a challenge when it was originally
scheduled, but when we finally got to play them they were on a really good run
and it was a tough proposition. Hudders as well.........came to Elland Road in
the middle of a really good run and got a point. Same thing with Orient, who
have been crap all season but have suddenly hit form (winning at Charlton and
then crushing Bristol Rovers 5-0 last night.) And we play them away next
week.................that's going to be a hard game now.
