The ironic thing is that (and yes I was there), I thought that Becchio and Michalik were our best two players on Wednesday. Perhaps it's just me.

My Dad, came to Saturday's game - he doesn't get to many these days and so doesn't know many of the players - and asked me after 70 minutes or >>so, "why are they always singing Becchio's name. I've only seen him do one of three things; lose the ball; fall over; or complain to the referee."

Your Dad is spot on. I actually think some Leeds fans actually believe the hype surrounding Becchio. Some people think he is good on the air, some people think he holds up the ball well, some people think he is a goal scorer and some people think he works harder than the rest .... and some people think none of these. He is not good in the air, he is not a goalscorer (1 in 4 at 3rd division level is shite), he only looks like he's working harder because he can't do even the simplest things without making a big f;cking meal of things. Beckford covers more ground, is fitter and puts in more hard work than Becchio. That's not to say Becchio doesn't put a good shift in (as SG would say) but it's just not good enough for me. Last season he was running on adrenaline and benefiting from Beckford at the start of the season. He then went on a spectacular run of very few goals. This season he's never looked like scoring regularly and has missed some horrendous sitters. I can't bear to watch players who fall over and lack basic footballing ability - it's criminal.

Johnson - he can't do it at left back. I think he's done really well this season and has proved me wrong but the jury is still out. I'f prefer to see Aidy White given a chance. He's got too much ability.
