Last season we had a storming end to the season, but unfortunately not quite good enough to overhaul 2nd place. This season, so far, we have had another storming start to the season. Now whilst there isn't anything logical to suggest we will self destruct again, it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for us to "do a leeds" and fcuk it up again. THIS is the reason some of us weren't happy about a cup distraction, in the summer we want to be sipping our sangrias and looking back on a successful season, not reflecting on yet another close shave, definitely losing our top scorer, potentially losing our better players, potentially losing our manager and having to go through it all again. As I said, no logical reason for this to be the case, we certainly have the players to win the second half of the season as comfortably as we won the first half, however being Leeds supporters we've all been here before. If the last 2 seasons have been "crap" then equally this season will be "crap" come the summer if we don't finish the job off. I'd love to be enjoying it more right now, but these days I live with the fear of losing rather than the hope/expectation of winning. If we go on a 3 match winning streak I will be a lot happier, even if the point differential stays the same, because it means we have our games in hand played whilst we are in good form. If our patchy form continues then we may well waste those games in hand with dodgy results. Given our previous we want to be out of sight as soon as possible..
