Ditto to everything you said re away fixtures.
I have often thought that making more away season tickets available could be
a possible solution?

From my experience the problems have been down to the online booking
system, the last 3 times I have had to rely on my mate to do the booking
for me as I've had work commitments (or on the last occasion jury
service). He has had problems getting a connection to the site at 10:00
due to heavy net traffic, and by the time he has got on it has been too
late, to be honest I do not know whether this is a due to his internet
connection being crap or if the official site is actually crashing with
the volume of traffic .
He did ring the ticket office after failing to get a Spurs ticket and they
advised him to send the next applications by special delivery, which he
did but Royal Mail managed to screw this up and it did not get there til
the Wednesday, the upshot of which is that we are unlikely to get tickets
for Norwich, Soton, G'ham or Charlton.
Has anyone had any similar problems with booking online or are there just
more people wanting to go to away games this season ? For the past 2
seasons we have had little problems getting tickets, eg. got tickets for
Swindon and Orient easily enough for the last 2 years but only got them
this year after Swindon was rearranged and Orient gave us more tickets.
All very frustrating.

I am also looking for 2 spares for Southampton if anyone can help?
Have other members (non-season ticket holders) been having a harder
time at getting tickets this season more than the past?
I have found the first two League 1 seasons not quite as difficult
as this current season (Bar Brighton and Northampton and other
small grounds). Possibly due to our overall form /position in the
league most of the season - more interest in away games ?
Ironically I thought Norwich and Southampton would be easier games
to get because of premiership /championship size stadiums, yet
these may prove more difficult because of the interest in these
matches. Charlton is a loyalty game which may also be tricky for
some members as well.
