You can't really offer more away season tickets than we already have at the moment because of the potentially small allocations we get a some grounds. Plus, you need to have a season ticket before applying for one.
Its natural that non-season ticket holders are going to miss out on some of these more desirable away fixtures, as the home/away season holders get first dibs, rightly so. The simple answer really is to get a season ticket. But even then, there are going to be occasions when people miss out, and with our fanatical away support, I guess that isn't surprising at all. I would say that Southampton, Charlton and Norwich aways were top of everyone's wish list this season, so inevitable that people have been let down. I have heard a lot of talk about loyalty scemes and such, but would that be fair to say, only a core group can go to every away game? As a season ticket holder in the past, I only went to 3-4 away games a season, but would not have been happy to miss out on away days just because someone else doesn't work weekends or have other comitments. At the end of the day, I think it evens out in the end. On the bright side, there are always tickets available in Unkle Ken's corporate hospitality seating.... > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Date: Tue, 2 Mar 2010 16:55:12 +0000 > Subject: Re: [LU] Southampton spares > > Steve, > Ditto to everything you said re away fixtures. > I have often thought that making more away season tickets available could be > a possible solution? > > Kevin > > -------------------------------------------------- > From: <[email protected]> > Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2010 1:49 PM > To: "KEVIN" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [LU] Southampton spares > > > From my experience the problems have been down to the online booking > > system, the last 3 times I have had to rely on my mate to do the booking > > for me as I've had work commitments (or on the last occasion jury > > service).
