It's true that our form is poor, but you only have to read the match reports to know that we are still delivering excellent play at times - play that in two or three cases should have lead to wins we didn't end up getting.
I look at it this way: the big differentiator in most sports isn't actually being brilliant - it's being brilliant all the time. In this division, very few teams are brilliant all the time and we're no exception. But we've shown we can be and that when we are, it's not all luck. I was at Old Trafford - there wasn't a person in the place, White or Red, who didn't think we earned that famous win. Grayson is pretty down to earth, from what I can see, so the Messiah tag is certainly not self-inflicted. And I suspect what we're seeing is the usual Leeds story - players slightly overwhelmed by the responsibility to the vocal support and the sense of anticipation of ending three years - three! - in the third division. Our key games are Yeovil, Southend, Gillingham, MK Dons and Bristol Rovers. I know, I know - we couldn't beat Brentford at home. But that's hardly an insurmountable task. Three oints against Millwall (in addition to those) and we should be second without a problem; three more points away at Carlisle and it'll be job done. As I say - it's far from being nailed on, but there's every reason to keep calm! Best, Richard -------------------- Richard Young Freelance writer and editor
