Alan Smith waived a loyalty bonus that was due to him if he was sold  
without asking for a transfer. This equated to a percentage of the transfer  
fee 
(10%?).  

It was a noble move -  asking for a transfer (to ManU) made  him look worse 
in the eyes of the Leeds numpties than Kewell, who used  his slimy agent to 
shaft us good and proper.
 
Then again, Alan was presumably getting a decent salary from ManU. And  
waiving a bonus was as much as he could do under the rules. Danny Mills only  
did what everyone else did - "football debts" are payable in full under FA  
rules.
 
To suggest Danny Mills "put us where we went" is ridiculous. You know  full 
well who the culprits are.
