Interestingly, I came across a court case online the other day that details the
judgement between Leeds United Asscociation Football Club Limited and several
players in May 2007.

The administrators were seeking clarification that liabilities for wrongful
dismissal were not payable as expenses of administration. All of the other
players signed an agreement varying the terms of their contracts so that all or
part of their renumeration due to them could be deferred until either the
administrators were confident they could pay them all as an expense of
administration, or the club was sold to another business.

Four players refused to agree to these terms. They responded to the
application, against the administrators. Those four players were: David Healy,
Jonathan Douglas, Kevin Nicholls and Jermaine Beckford.

Judgement was made in favour of the administrators, but I was not at all
surprised to see those four names. Interesting when you see how three of four
are gone, and one still will not sign a new contract for Leeds. Food for
thought, eh?
