This is a good and valid posting!

Whatever happens, we have to have faith, and we have to stand behind the
team & all, giving support.

That said, having the joy of watching the game live on Sky, I was
disappointed last night. With both performance and result.

About injuries and squad:
We have to cope with not fielding our expected best 11 every game, all teams
have to. The quality of the team is decided by the quality of numbers 12-16
(approx) in the squad. That said, it is always not nice to not be able to
put on the best striker for an important game, and loosing the best defender
only minutes into the game changes the plot. Tactics must be changed, and
substitutions the rest of the game different.

I feel we opened well first minutes, then they scored out of nothing. The
goal a bit lucky, it could very well hit Casper and go outside of the post
instead. The goal made them fuel a bit extra, they had some runs, but I feel
that after 20-25 minutes or so they were sort of out of steam. They were
there for the taking. We had a lot of possession, a couple of good runs, but
we never created any difficulties for them and never tried their keeper.

I feel we started 2nd half in the same manner, only that I my eyes Dichov
improved a little bit. First half he didn't impress me much.

When they scored their second, the game was over.

The way I see it, we lack creativity, fantasy and variety in our attacking
play. We are far too easy to read and predict. A defence having discipline
enough to track back, stops us far too easy.

We need to open the other sides defence. Perhaps we should vary our pace,
not full steam ahead all time, and then stop in the middle of the park, do
back passes and all that. But we should take the opportunities on breaks.
Goals don't come after possession, but after breaks and counter attacks. We
could do using wingers with speed, and also being able to shoot from
distance. If we had been able to transform the possession and domination we
had between their first and second goal into some decent shots on target, we
would win such games.

Now, we only have to just forget about everything, that goes for players,
manager, staff and supporters. Now we have to take one game at the time. We
are still having the wheel in this race.

A season is made up of 46 games, and there is no reason to count the points
until May... Promotion is decided after results from all games, not table at
Christmas time, nor a good run after the league opening (or loosing 7-1 at
home on the opening day, for that matter).

Also, I have to add, of course I would changed the win at manu and
performance at spurs with a lot of points in the league, but I really
enjoyed watching those games on telly, and was (and still am) proud of what
we as a div 3 side did. Further, I don't take it that those results have
caused all the lack of points after new year. We can analyze and discuss,
but I just don't believe that those two games did that much...

Øystein - still believing that we will get promoted this season

OK, OK, OK, another set-back, another poor performance. Now injuries
to major players are causing grief. Massive games coming up. But are you all

lining up to jump off Leeds Bridge into the River Aire or going to Amen
Corner
and jumping in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. I'm not. There are two major
factors to cling on to as I see it. Firstly, we are still in second place by
three
points which is as good as four points with our superior goal difference.
Secondly and by far the most important factor is that we are still in
command
of our own destiny. We still don't have to rely on other clubs losing
points.
Situations change in every division in every season and it's quite obvious
this season is no different. Some of you will say, what is this silly old
cunt on about
but we have to face facts and the facts are as above. We cannot put the
clock back
we have to move on. My third and final point and very importantly is this.
Before a
ball was kicked at the beginning of the season would you have settled for
being as
good as four points clear in second spot with nine games to play? I'm sure I
would have.
Am I grasping at straws, maybe, but where there's life there's much hope in
my book.
I'm sure the players and management are feeling far worse than any of you
good
people are.
