Amazing post Graham, I've been meaning to document all the highs and lows experienced during the Revie years and you have done an outstanding job. My first game was Leeds v Spurs in 64/65 (Though having lived in Leeds all my life, I was a young Spurs fan, seduced by the double-winning team) and cam away a Leeds fan for life. Not only did we lose the Cup in extra time that season but we lost the league to Man U. on a minute gave average. I've always regard that first season as setting the trend. My dad did take me to see the League Cup final but I watch the Sunderland Cup Final in a college common room, at the front and had to slink out in disbelief at the end. And don't forget being robbed of the double in the early seventies when we won the cup and were forced to play Wolves on the following Monday. Gutted was a very familiar emotion.
And now? I think Grayson should stay, it has been a mind-boggling disastrous run but we are still in with a strong chance of automatic promotion but then again I am thousands of miles away and get most of my Leeds information from this list. All I do know is that if we get in the playoffs again I will be a complete nervous wreck. Cheers Mick Elland Road Crowd Steward late sixties/early seventies.
