I agree Gradel was better than recently - but no way a 10. It was more an 8 for effort, apart from one shot in the melee after a corner / throw he didnt really look like scoring. I think the fact he was playing next to a woeful Beckford made him look better. I thought we were Ok for the first period of the game, improved after we scored and played very well and should have scored more for the 20 minutes at the start of the 2nd half. After that we panicked and were fairly woeful again. The points are all that counts at this point in the season but we'd need to play better to go up. On the plus side the minutes silence was impeccably observed and it looked like pretty much everyone joined in the "turn your backs" protest. Though it was tempting to carry on looking the other way for a bit longer. Playing Yeovil on a bank holiday not a great idea though - apart from virtually no food or drin available at the ground, it also gave us the pleasure of sitting in a traffic jam for nearly an hour on the way home caused by all the visitors to Stonehenge - surely the sh*tist tourist attraction in the country. I agree what's been said about Gradel from the Yeovil match but what I don't understand is why people don't pass to him at times. Grayson brought him on for that last quarter on Saturday and hardly anyone passed to him, I think that same also happened against Milwall. I was sat in front of where he was playing and you could see his frustration, it got to the point where he ran to left back position just to get hold of the ball. I know that he's a bit reckless at times but if all of the team had his enthusiasm then we would be up by now. ....... "Gradel 10 Seriously the only 10 Ive seen in a Leeds side in years. He made the odd mistake (that free kick) but if Doyle, Collins, Bromby, Howson and Beckford had shown just 2% of his get-up-n-go, we would be Prem league by now" Stephen Warner Email: [email protected] _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
