I've been in the USA for 10 years now, and have an American wife but would NEVER, EVER, EVER consider becoming a US citizen (or for that matter, a citizen of any other country) - can anyone explain to me how the thought process for that decision actually works? I'm never gonna pledge allegiance to a damn American flag; what the hell would The Queen say?

BTW - the first question is an entirely serious one and the second question is only partially tongue in cheek.

I'm in my 26th year in the States (and am now a full-fledged Yank), and have been on the list since 1997.

Cheers!

15 years? lightweight, I'm on year number 21 in the States now. Y'all. Been on
this list since around 1998.

God yes that would be fantastic.

p.s. Does 15 years here make me a yank?
