McAllister equalised for Leicester then, with everyone else losing their
heads, Stachan calmly scored the winner. My wife had always hated him till
then (Strachan that is) but he stood head and shoulders above everyone on
the pitch that day - not only in skill but in effort and drive and
commitment and will to win.

In many ways it was like watching Billy Bremner again.

PS that was the last match my wife ever went to. She never was a football
supporter, let alone Leeds but at least she stopped going on a high that
nearly but not quite made up for the Birmingham match in 85.
