Let's face facts here , a move to Everton would be good for Beckford for one reason only and that's the money. As much as I rate Beckford at League One and maybe Championship level he will need to be able to trap and control a ball before being effective in the PL. I think he'd spend a lot of time on the bench. ----- Original Message ---- From: Tim Leslie <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, 14 May, 2010 12:48:22 Subject: Re: [LU] Released and retained.... > He will go to Everton, get a massive signing on fee plus £25k+ a week for > 4 > years and if he doesn’t crack it in the first season he'll be on loan to > preston or somewhere before you know it still earning £25k a week setting > himself up for life. > > He would be a fool not to! > > Personally I think the premier league will be a step too far for him as he > has 4 great seasons in league one, the first with scunny. I agree entirely, however I think a move to Everton would be his best choice (Other than staying here!) as Moyes has a good record with lower league players and getting them up to Prem standard. I expect Moyes to be the Next Man Utd manager personally. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
