so, what we all knew was going to happen, has happened and Beckford has had his
contract terminated - a good idea giving us a couple of extra weeks to find a
replacement.

For my money, he has been our stand out player in our time in the thrid
Division.

His goals and some of his attacking play have been a joy to watch, and I have
never been able to get my head around the stick that he gets from some fans.

I think we will miss him and can hear now fans at games watching his
replacement missing a chance shouting "Beckford would have buried that"

Whehter the PRemiership is a step slightly too far remains to be seen, but
given the fact that he scored at Old Trafford and White Hart Lane, suggests
that with his pace and finishing ability he does have a chance of making the
grade.

I certainly wish him well and hope that he does make it and hope that in 6
months we are asking can he make the step up to International football. I do
not begrudge him leaving to try and better himself and so like I say "bye bye
Becks, thanks for the memories, and all the best for the future"

And while I am at it - cheers also to Casper, a keeper who was awful at crosses
and kicking, but who was a good shot stopper and was the best we have had for a
long long  time at one on ones. He did his bit for the cause and was a lot
better than his predecesors - Warner, Stack etc so again I wish him well
Casper is dead, long live Kasper.
Dave
