Having been involved in the organisation of the Conference, I can say that
holding it in Malta worked out cheaper than in the UK, as the conference was
sponsored by the Malta Tourist Board, and maltese hotel rates are about 60%
cheaper than UK ones. The 3 previous ones were held in Portugal.
