I'll ignore the troll's hook blaming the whole continent, but really, think
about it ... this is the World Cup, not the World Cup according to how
Europeans think it should be, but the first on the continent of Africa.

The vuvuzelas are part and parcel of football (and music) in South Africa.
Would you ban scarves at Leeds games because the draught they cause when
waved above the head might give you a chill?

Personally I think it is bloody great (even if I have gone deaf Andy C ;-) )

Because it's fucking annoying . All the things you mention below Brian
didn't fundamentally change the atmosphere at games I.e the crowd were still
able to show their support and appreciation of their team. This is a blanket
din that just monopolises the atmosphere , leading to no sense of whose fans
are actually there - no brazilian drums , no weird chanting, no rule
Brittania no nothing just a load of bees buzzing. Let's face facts this is
the idea of someone who doesn't understand football supporters. I wouldn't
have expected anything else from the Africans .

Every World Cup has something that makes it stick in the memory. The ticker

so why should the vuvuzela be banned?

I see the African FA are thinking of banning the horns from the grounds
after complaints from spectators and commentators. At last some common
sense.
