A bit late, but my two-haporth...... Great to see Lennon & Milner start. I remember 10 yrs ago watching english football in Thailand, and Gerry Armstrong was analysing.............discussing Leeds, he said "Leeds have a great future; I just watched the England U/16s and there are 2 Leeds players called Lennon & Milner in that team who are wonderful youngsters."
Shame they were both crap............Lennon lacked confidence, and bottled out of running at blackmouth 7 times out of 10. Probably because (as i have said before) Rooney goes into such a fit if the cross doesn't go straight to his feet that he preferred to just pass it inside. Capello is paid 6m quid a year and gets to watch as many games as he likes..............I am paid nothing and watch M of the D every now and then. Yet I knew that Green is the 4th best of a bad bunch of keepers. This England goalkeeper thing is starting to drive me mad! It goes way back to 1970.............after single-handedly stopping us winning the FA Cup, Bonetti hands the QF to Germany. Then Erickson kept picking Seaman ahead of Robbo while he made error after error. Carson throws away our qualification for Euro 08. AAAaaaaarrggh. And then there is Rooney! Why is nobody saying the glaring truth............he is in awful form! He improved a bit in the 2nd half, but throughout the Japan match and in the first half in SA, he lost the ball almost every time he got it and he didn't even look like scoring (except for 1 good shot v Japan.)
