Salary Range: pro rata $37 332 - $43 499 (3 days per week)

The Australian Virtual Centre for Women and the Law is an exciting new
project of the National Women’s Justice Coalition Inc (NWJC).
The NWJC promotes women’s legal equality by raising awareness, building
networks and lobbying. It is a membership based organisation whose members
include over thirty peak women’s groups, and hundreds of state based
organisations and individuals across Australia. The NWJC is the leading
Australian women’s organisation in the use of information and communication
technologies.
The Virtual Centre will provide powerful and easy to use IT tools. The
centre piece is a purpose built facility to provide over 150 email lists on
women and justice issues as well as training using a community development
approach.
We are seeking to appoint a highly creative and motivated project officer
on a 12 month contract to complete the establishment phase and manage the
Centre’s ongoing development. The successful applicant will have
experience in project planning, have high level communication skills, be
familiar with email list administration, be able to balance competing
demands and be able to liaise successfully with technical contractors,
project partners and the community sector.
