Protest against the Nike failure to address the rights of workers making
their
products in Australia and overseas.
The Textile Clothing Footwear union of Australia (TCFUA) has initiated legal
proceedings against Nike and 71 other clothing companies. Nike is the only
company that has refused to settle, has refused to sign the Homeworkers Code
of Practice and refused to comply with the Award. Nike thinks it is above
the law because it is so used to getting around the law by using contractors
in Vietnam, Indonesia and Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We need to
mobilise to fight against Nike and ensure that workers rights win over
corporate greed and misinformation.
