Dear interested community gardeners,

Letting people know about an interesting happening this weekend, Sat April 8.

'Cultivating Community', a community garden group has organised a one 
day gathering to promote community gardens.

The morning session will be held in the Collingwood Children's Farm barn,
9am - 1.30pm, featuring:
* a keynote address by David Holmgren, the co-founder of permaculture,
* an update on the exciting developments in the Office of Housing and
   their commitment to community gardens by Basil Natoli,
* and a snapshot of other community garden projects in Melbourne and
   Cuba (the St Kilda Veg Out project, the Farm's community gardens).

The afternoon session will be based in the Richmond Public Housing 
Estate community gardens at 7 Lennox St, btn Victoria and Elizabeth 
st, 2pm-4.30pm and will include practical activities, a chance to 
share info with the gardeners and a garden tour.

Numbers are limited, so please register to be sure.
