Hi,
Thanks for the advice, I just ordered the 2x gear set today so I will
do a 12" pitch, Now I have to decide how to make a 8 foot column on my
6 foot legacy
I was either going to extend the tailstock 2 feet and turn 6 feet of
the column then flip it over and do the other 2 feet or make 2 pieces
and conect them with threaded rod.
has anyone done a long column like this before? I'm not sure how well
the rope molding will line up when the colun is turned over to rope
the last 2 feet.
         Thanks,
       Mike
