Hello all.

I have a number of spring loaded hinges if you can post a picture or two I
would love to see how you apply them.

Sounds like a pretty smart CONCEPT.

Thanks Andy.

if you're looking for a cheaper option, I've actually made feather
boards using spring loaded hinges. You can buy them from any hardware
store. I actually prefer them to regular feather boards because they
have more variability. for instance, if i'm truing up a rough piece of
lumber on the table saw against the fence. The spring loaded hinges
will still hold the piece against the fence even with the variability
in the board width. A regular featherboard usually is worthless if
your piece varies in width by more than 1/4 inch.

I've used the system on my table saw, bandsaw , and jointer . The
expensive part is the turn-lock magnets i use to hold the system to my
work surface, but if you perminently mount them, you would not need
the turnlocks .  I'm sure you could use the same hinges mounted
differently and mount some rollerblade wheels to them and get the same
results for much less. Just a suggestion.
