Hello Gary
Wait a min. here. If I read the price listing correctly the price is no where
close to that. The maxis-6 is listed at $8849.99 On page three It shows all
that is in the package. And the maxis-6 is includes all that is listed.
I have to say the posting and pricing is a bit screwy. BUT You will not have to
worry about my buying this system, 8k is still way outside what my allowance
will allow me to buy. ;-) I just wanted to point out that this system has some
neat features that I like. There Z axis is pretty neat as well. it looks like,
a more stable platform and allows more freedom of movements. But...? since I
have not seen anything except what is posted I honestly do not have any idea if
it is as nice as it looks.
I've been searching the web a lot lately, looking for machines, and kits that do
things that I like, (Homemade Z axis, CNC kits, lathe modifications... to name
just a few.) just to get a better idea on what possibilities are.

I will talk to you all latter.
I hope you have a good day.

C.A.G.

Approximately $20,000 for the complete setup. For that price I can buy an
awful lot of fine wood and a complete shop full of tools to play with,
including a CNC.

We are talking about a Dream Machine not necessarily this machine (the Maxis)
Jeff, I like some of the things this machine can do. If you could combine the
Legacy's gear and roping abilities with this machine's copy attachment, tilting
router head, and some of the other things it dose, Now then you would be a real
Dream Machine.
If you start with a Dream, then Someway,Somehow you can always figure out a
way,to pay for it! ;-)

  Have a Great day.

    I like that TOPIC!
    "Dream Machine"
If I could conbine the Legacy and the Maxis system
http://www.easyrouter.net/ together some way, That would be a Dream come true.

I have to get going! talk to you all latter.

Now my dream manual machine would preferably be using the REVO format but
I would accept Model 900 style machine. The capacity between centres of 32 to
36" with a capacity of 6" to 8" diameter for turned work.

The Headstock would be fixed and the Tailstock adjustable for tapering
etc. and fitted with linear bearings for the router tray or gantry X,Y & Z axis.

Now because we have a preponderance of plunge routers in Europe the Z
Axis would need a redesign. So this means that I would incorporate two
additional items and the first would be a version of the Bill Bulkeley Plunge
Routing Head and the second instead of a wheel to vary the height of the router
I would use a lever like on mortise as proposed by Tim. All that for a
$1,000.00!

Anyone else want to input to the dream machine, would you make only 21 to
24" for the craft makers and so reduce the price?

      Please let me know.

      Regards
      Roger
