Correct - it is for the Z-axis upgrade.

Photos of the second example please.  Are the rails on the front and back the same? If this is for the z-axis upgrade then I know what that one looks like.

Tim,

Sorry, I can't confirm what you are looking for.  I happen to have two carriages for my 1000.  One has six HOLES in the side face, but only the four in the middle have a threaded insert (pem insert?) and the top has 4 holes - all with pem inserts.  My other carriage is quite a bit different.  There are 4 holes in the middle of side
face and two considerably larger holes towards the ends of same face.  Top face is different also.
Sorry.  If you'd like photos, I can accommodate - just let me know.

Hello All model 1000/1500 (aluminum rail version) owners,

Can anyone confirm that the front and back piece of the carriage are identical.  Also can you confirm that there are 6 pem inserts on the outside and four facing up.

Here's a picture of a carriage from an earlier model and I believe they carried this part forward until the change in the model 900/1200/1800's.

Any help would be appreciated.

-Tim
