I have used the Template follower of the Legacy quite a bit.
I do not believe there are any real good videos of how it is done, I feel
this is one of the weak links of the machine, I hate to say that ,The
template follower used like a copy lathe dose not work all that well, It is
much better suited for making new idioms all the same, than it is for
copying all ready made one's.
But It can be done, If you make a profile of the chair leg out of 1/4" hard
board (or other like materials,) works best.(I've never had any luck making
a direct copy from the original on the Legacy.But that too could be done?

you can cut form the side using a 1/2" end mill or router bit. to get the
general shape, and then switch over to the router bit profiles to make the
details.
The template follower brackets are mounted in the back side of the Legacy,
The template follower is mounted on the back side of the Router carriage,
There is an adjustable slot in the 1000 plexie glass follower. I always
start from 0. locking the router down at that point, that then adjust the
center marks of the template, so that the router and template are at the
same origin...

Does anybody have a Legacy DVD, copy, anything that shows how to use the
follower attachment? I purchased a used 1000ex on eBay about 6 months ago.
Can't figure how to use the copy part. I need to make a chair leg. It is
square, round and curved. Anything would be of great help.
