You can use the quick mounts and avoid having to disassemble the legacy. They would also slide in the inner bed rails by simply removing the tailstock. As to what they are used for, that would have to be up to your own imagination. I can only come up with one instance of how they could be used. Maybe others might see it differently.

Legacy has a similar bracket but those were designed for the narrow side of the
rails and was used to bolt the aluminum rail to form the horizontal and
vertical vises.
