The boat was made by Thompson Boat Co. in 1954, she is seaworthy, hull was
in good shape when I got her. She measures out at eleven feet, six inches,
given this size she is built for smooth flat water, any waves would make
for a rough ride. I did use the Legacy when making the custom wood
mirrors. I made the mirrors on the regular lathe and then mounted them on
the Legacy to drill the hole for the mounting base, it really helped. I
made a drill press platform on my Legacy to do this, see pics. I also took
some pics today showing the some xmas ornaments I'm attempting to make on
the Legacy(also using the drill press), I'm open to any ideas on this
project. I've just begun so these are the early steps. The goal is have
them be mostly round in diameter approx, 2 and half inches and to drill out
the centers, perhaps add some fluting, etc. Has anyone tried this with any
success? Thanks, Shell in Chicagoland.
