Hey Curtis, yes the plate was installed incorrectly and the Zirt was between the plate and the screws instead of on the opposite side of the plate. I haven't taken it apart yet, but I can see the Zirt on the screw. I can't get the screw loose, so Ill have to take the back end apart to slide out the entire tail stock. I was thinking about replacing the existing plate with a 1/4" aluminum plate I have at work. Drill and tap it to fit the existing screw. But, without seeing the part and how it fits, I'm not sure if it will work or not.
